Newbie question about posting images and stories from many years ago?

Hi newbie Brian, here, sorry sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place ect. but I have a question about posting pictures and stories that I gathered years and years ago.
For example I have loads of covers of old paper back books and I transfered the contents of the original books into text files, the thing I'm unsure of is it against forum rules to post as I didn't write the original books myself? I think most are out-off print now, here is just one example:

AB-5118 NAUGHTY GIRLS SCHOOL by R W Finch.

Just let my know if its ok, no problem if its not I'll just remove the images ect straight away.

I think its ok when it comes to cover art.

As long as you don't post stories seeing as they don't belong to you and you don't have written permission to post them on a site.
I think if you created a blog and shared a bit of the story w/ cover art, then that would be ok because you are reviewing it.

Does that make sense?

And of course keep in mind about what you want to share. Those covers shouldn't give the impression of something iffy going on.
