Did I do something wrong?

Rather than "Did I do something wrong?", perhaps you need to be asking, "Who did I piss off?"

Admittedly, I hate that thing anyhow. Why can't we just type an author's name and have it filter the list as we type like a lot of systems do these days? Easier to do a member search if you are look for a particular author. It is nice for browsing for authors who write in categories that interest you, though still kind of clunky even for that. Better to have a system where you can search a category and get a clickable list of authors who have written in it.

And, wow, I looked myself up. I had not realized how many different categories I have written in. And I only have 58 stories, nowhere near your 100.

I've done some searching on the site. It appears your Author badge was deleted and so you will not show up on the Authors list at the moment. Gav will have to look into it but I would guess it has to do with the fact that you just received the Author 100 badge for getting 100 stories posted. I would be willing to bet that when the system cycles itself after a whole day your badge will return and so will your listing in the Authors list. It must be a little disconcerting, Kistin.

Come to think of it, I did see Sprite earlier, walking around with a big pink pearl eraser...

I'll admit, it did give me a shiver. I just took a look at my Timeline and it showed that early this morning I got the 100 badge, then the 50 badge, then the Author badge. I think you're right and it has to rebuild the list. I'll check tomorrow.

Thank you, Larry

that was just one of my nipples hanging out. sorry about that.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Well, that explains the very tired looking cephalopod in Rump's back room.
Never have figured out why the program is set up that it removes your Author badge and any other Author-related badges when you reach Author 50, 100, or whatever. I understand the badges are linked symbolically, but I don't see why they can't just add your Author 100 badge right after your last badge without deleting and reinstating your badges or even just rearranging them Kistin. Never made sense to me.

Meagan, I think it's to do with counters. If counter equals X then add badge. Unfortunately once it does add the badge, it drops the others until they get re added.
I'm sure someone thought it made sense when they wrote the code, and I'm sure Gav wants to pour a bucket of stale beer over them for doing it too.

I've seen it with boards where you can get an automatic badge for taking part in a challenge, alas if you've taken part in other challenges the board wipes them until the admin puts them back.

Whatever was posted is always meant in love and respect never to offend.
I'm also highly likely to have posted this from a phone so there may be typos or odd word changes, auto correct can be a pain.

Thank you, everyone

Welcome back, Kistin, ... err, yes, to the official list. 100 stories and poems? Wow! Way to go. You're a really good Lushie.
