I read a story and when I tried to like it I received the message that I’m not able to like the story. Why was that?

It can happen by accident, I suppose, but you have no way of inquiring why.

OP do you comment on stories? If so, the author likely took exception to one of them and blocked you.

And that’s the issue I have with being blocked by somebody you don’t even know. No redress to find out why.

I've been blocked (by someone in this thread 🙂) for posting a salty reply to a forum post, and I've also been blocked for posting a comment on a story implying that an author was a bot. I'm not too worried about it.

I do comment on stories but I thought it was always positive. I tend to not comment on what I don’t like

I think that’s true for the vast majority of Lushies. But I’ve had a few nasty comments on my stories. I don’t waste the time to block them I just ignore them.

I genuinely don't get what the issue is. Even if blocking is a feature I'd only EVER use if someone crashed into my space uninvited, or was rude, if someone did it to me for whatever reason, it's a function that's available, and they've used it. Analysing it won't change that, although as I've never thought about it for more than a second, I'm not speaking with any authority on the matter.
