Hi, I always thought that my private gallerypics were protected and not able to be copied.
Lately I found out that it is possible to copy them by cellphone! Is there a possibility to protect our private pics so they cant be copied by cellphone?
My private pics are in hands of some guys now, I really dislike that a LOT and I am increadibly happy that my face is not on them.
Maybe it is good to aware Lushies more about this?
I hope there will be a solution...
I really doubt it. Considering that the screenshots that are being taken on cellphone is something that the OS on the phone does and not the site, I doubt there is any way you can protect your pics completely. As far as someone browsing on your computer I can instantly think of two ways to get your pictures on my hard drive, even if I can't right click and copy them, and that's without having any additionaly software. You should really be careful with what you put out there and who you give access to.
So unless I have underestimated Gav a whole lot, then there's nothing he can do I'm afraid, but I can't say that with 100% certainty.
If they can see them, they can copy them.
Disabling the right-click & copy functionality on the site is the best that can be done but there are ways around this.

Whatever you do, anyone viewing any pictures on any device can always do a screen grab. It's relatively low quality but 'control' of your pictures is an illusion.

Yes, it's as everyone above said. For example, while browsing your profile, I can simply click Ctrl+A and then Ctrl+C, paste it into word, or anywhere else for that matter, and then have access to not only the text of your profile, but the pics as well. Nothing is ever 100% protected. Disabling right clicks is really the least of your worries. It just creates a more tedious job for the pic poacher, but won't stop them if they're tenacious.
And suppose somehow all of the technical stuff could be controlled in addition to right clicking? No copy & paste. No screen grabs, or anything like that. What's to stop me from doing it the old fashioned way and whipping out my cell phone or my camera and just snapping a pic of your pic?
Nothing is ever 100% protected online. If you put it out there and someone wants it forever, they'll find a way to get it...and probably share it. This should be kept in mind when posting pics online.
P.S. I'm not trying to make anyone paranoid or anything...but still. Just be sensible.

Yes I know it is simply impossible to fully protect your pics.
But I was just so surprised to notice how easy it is possible by cellphone, because I thought there was a form of protection on it. (and now I read even more options to copy in here)
I am very sure many many women (and men) in here really don't know that.
I think it would be a very good thing to warn people in here much more.
Just put a warning note if they want to upload a pic for example, just to inform them.
My face isn't on my nudepics, so nobody can tell its me.
Besides that Lush is not that well known over here so the change that my neighbor finds me is quite low ;)
And my husband knows what I am doing, so it doesn't make me attackable (is that the right word..?)
But many have a big secret life in here and have full shots with their faces on it.
I think it possibly makes them attackable/ vulnerable if the wrong persons/ people they know get their pics.
Hi, maybe it comes over as if i am unaware of the fact that everything you publish is possible to copy.
I am aware of that possibility.
I didnt fully realized how easy it was to copy, so that made me wake up;)
So that is why I wonder if it should be a good thing to aware people more by adding a little note for example.
I know it isn't the responsebility of Lush, but I just think it is a good thing to do.
I wonder what others think of that?
