Question about a deleted account

I've been asked this and I couldn't find an answer.

I know that if I deactivate my account, people can't view my profile during that time.
Now what if I delete my account.

How long does my profile stay listed on the profiles of people who are my friends?
Do my messages I've posted on someone's wall stay there or vanish with me?
I suspect my stories go poof when I delete the account, after a certain amount of time. How long is that?
Do my votes and comments on others stories go poof with me?

I'm not saying I'm going to be leaving lush, just that I've been asked by someone who had someone vanish on them after a disagreement.
So I thought I'd ask the dumb questions for them, being blonde I have a special license to ask really dumb questions.

Coz like I'm all like blonde n stuff.

I'm also highly likely to have posted this from a phone so there may be typos or odd word changes, auto correct can be a pain.

All trace of the member, when they delete, goes poof as you say. However it may take a short time for that to happen and certainly a basic profile may still be available via Google search (cached) for a couple of days.

Having said the above, and checking my mail, it would appear that PM's received and sent to a subsequently deleted member remain in ones folders but the members name is removed.

By the way just love that video on your wall of the chap de-icing the car... its one of the 'things' I look at on here when I need a giggle. smile
Thank you John. Good to know what the system does with a deleted account.
Will go and add some more funnies. Anything that makes you smile is well worth doing.
