Showing your age

Hi.. perhaps this has been raised already but I have 'allow others to see your age' unselected.. hey, a woman can be fragile about things like that... so it's lovely that the option is there.

However, when in the chat room, it shows my age when you click on my name in the list of members in a chat... So what is the point of unselecting it in my privacy settings?

Is this a glitch or just the way things are?

Strange that you have it upticked and it still shows. I'll see what happens from my end. Did you uptick and save it twice? You must see green message box for the update to take place.

Even though I got the green message after updating settings, age still shows.

Can you remove birthday?

I guess for now, change birthday to 1-1-1923 to be 100yrs

Not just in chat rooms. Right here in the forum, if you mouse-over an ID a mini profile pops up which includes age.

It can be a glitch AND just the way things are simultaneously.

I see my age is visible on profile too despite my settings and I saw the green tick 🙄

Ive just reported this... certainly looks like a bug.

This has now been fixed. I am gutted that for a while others could see I am 29... 😇

You should be able to hide personal information like that everywhere. It is private information in most privacy regimes so should be under your control. So hopefully a glitch.

If it is a glitch in the chatrooms, then it's been a glitch since the day we came back online after the migration in September 2021. Members ages has been showing in the pop up preview box in the chatrooms since day one, even if the member has their setting unticked for "Allow others to see my age" This was something that AppleByBoom & myself had brought up back in September & October 2021.

And yes, I have the box in my settings unticked, have done since the migration. Not sure why, as everyone in the chatrooms can see my age. I have thought about putting in a different date of birth. But I could never do that, as it's fraudulent information to the behind the scenes part of the site & not who I am.

I will mention this to the development team... it doesnt make sense to have the hide option and it doesnt work in the chat rooms.

No it doesn't make sense, not for Lush Stories. Both AppleByBoom & myself were told there would be no changes, in regards to the age issue, in the chatrooms, as there are other sites on this platform that require the age showing for other members (due to the sites being set up as dating/meeting/dogging sites)
