Suggestion for New Posts view

I like to use New Posts as a quick way to find active threads to read or post in. One thing that I would like to see is the forum listed for each new post. Other forum sites I am on have this, including the one I admin. Why? You cannot always tell from the poster or title what a thread is really about. Today I saw a thread that sounded kind of interesting called "California Dreaming". It turned out to be a Think Tank thread about something happening in that state. Had I known it was a Think Tank thread, I probably would have passed on it. Just a friendly suggestion that maybe the devs could consider someday.

I totally agree and raised this a while ago with the dev team. I believe it is on the list. Just not sure how far down lol.

I hope this makes its way to the forum fairly soon. Like you, I use New Posts a lot and scanning thread titles isn't always obvious.

Not wishing to derail the thread, but I also raised an issue around the automatic bolding of topic titles. If I brush to scroll and accidentally nudge a topic title and enter it, boom, it's automatically bolded every time someone posts something new in there.

I only really want to see bolded topics for ones I've actually participated in. And even then, it'd be awesome to be able to 'mute' the bold if I've said everything I need to say and don't care about the thread any more.

Hopefully that request made it on some development list somewhere too!

That's perfect. Exactly how I would have done it, too. Hope the devs get it on their radar soon.
