Uploading images to the forum

I noticed on one thread that people were uploading photos of celebrities that must have been lifted off the web. There is even at least one video taken from YouTube.

I was just about to do that myself when I thought: how could that be allowed here? But I guess it must be allowed.

Technically, it's not:

I agree not to post any material which I do not own the copyright to, either in the story / poetry section, or any other parts of the site. This includes text as well as images. I will not use copyrighted images, without the permission of the owner.

But also,

By entering this website, I agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the providers, owners and creators of this website from any and all liability which might arise from viewing or reading the adult content on this website, or for the content which I have uploaded. This clause includes image uploading.

So it's really on individuals. Lush doesn't have the man-power to police that really.

It's like: everybody is doing it, so I will too. And yeah, they are on here, including images from comics and so forth.

Actually, it's probably impossible for an ordinary person to have a non-copyrighted photo of a celebrity unless they, 1. take it themselves (hard to do) or, 2. buy it from something like Getty Images. I think with the latter, if you pay for it, you can do what you want with it.

Since I'm on here, what is the size limit on the forum? Is 600 x 900 pixels too much?

There's no official size limit, but we ask people to be reasonable and considerate. Large images are particularly problematic for mobile users.

600x900 is probably just on the upper end of acceptable. Oversized images may be removed.
