WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY?

Entertaining--Great storyline.
I am looking forward to seeing Coco, the new Pixar movie and The Murder on the Orient Express, over Thanksgiving
The last movie I watched was Parker. It was that or Life of Pi and my son chose for the action movie. Still hope to see Life of Pi too one day.
A little kindness can be so valuable, yet costs almost nothing

In many countries being gay is a crime, and even in modern societies, politicians try to legalise discrimination. Your voice can make a difference. Have a look at All Out to find out how.

Hey... pssst.... that's an l (as in luscious) at the end of my name, not an i
Saw Murder on the Orient Express for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Terminator 2. What a great movie!
The guys want to see Thor, so they will be taking me over Thanksgiving. Who can say no to Chris Hemsworth? :-)

Have you seen the seventies version with Albert Finney as Poirot? If so, how does Branagh's compare (I am a Branagh fan so hopefully well)?
The Foreigner with Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. This is undoubtedly the best movie that Jackie Chan has made to date, it's not his usual Kung Fu type movie. This movie has a great plot, with lots of twists and turns throughout it, and also shows how far Chan has developed into becoming an accomplished actor. As usual, Pierce Brosnan does an excellent job in developing his character for his role in the movie. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone that enjoys movies that are action packed, have a definite plot with lots of intrigue, and have several dramatic scenes throughout it.
I just ordered tickets to the IMAX 3-D showing of the new Star Wars movie next month.

I have and I thought Branagh did a fantastic job as Poirot. There were some great comic elements I'm sure you'll giggle at as well.
We just watched Arrival again on bluray. What an amazing film! One of the best scifi movies I've ever seen. Not a big action and spectacle film, but a thoughtful and intelligent treatment of the idea of aliens coming to earth.

Lady Bird looks like it will be a good film. I'll have to try it.

I defiantly want to see Lady Bird. Love Soirse Ronan. (Pronounced "Sersha". Not really a theater movie so I'l wait on that.

Netflix is really starting to kill it when it comes to original movies. As soon as people start to lose interest in high budget popcorn movies I think we'll start to see more interest in quality films like Beast of No Nation, First they Killed My Father and now "Mudbound."

The academy has yet to recognize Netflix come awards season but I think that will change as people lose interest in movie theaters.

If you have Netflix, watch Mudbound. There is a fair amount of Oscar bait but it is a solid film. (Not as good as "Beast of No Nation" or "First they Killed My Father."

Can't wait to see this!
Coco. Checking it out this weekend.

We've been looking forward to it for a long time.
It's getting great reviews too.
Awesome!

I kind of liked the first one... even though it was kind of controversial...

Best marketing in history...
John Wick

Don't forget to sat 'Hi'

oh, just got back from seeing it. soooo good. colorful and the story was wonderful and, as usual with Pixar, very moving. bring tissue. smile

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Yup. I concur. For those 'city' scenes, it would have been worth it to watch the movie in 3D. Amazing depth. However, I would have
wanted them to freeze the frame so I could marvel at the detail, colour, and depth. Not a laugh-a-minute-type movie. Story was excellent. Si.

Ferdinand is coming... Ferdinand is coming...

I've never seen Donnie Darko. Time to put the big boy pants on and ante up.
Geostorm --- Very disappointing

Want to see -- Daddy's Home 2
Genjis Khan (Timujin)----a very realistic and accurate documentary
It (the new version).
Not as scary as the original one, but it has something good in it.

Try "Mongol."

You have to suffer through subtitles, but it's probably the best film depiction of Genghis Khan.

Lol.. Oh well, have to wait until it shows on TV...
Despicable Me 3 is out on DVD December 5, 2017. The kids are already warming up the TV.

The Last Jedi in theatres December 15, 2017. My son & I are already waiting in line.

Ferdinand in theatres December 15, 2017. My son, daughter, & I are also waiting in line for this one too.

And after all the excitement, I still haven't seen Blade Runner 2049.
I hope it stays in the theatres here a wee bit longer...

There's less suffering in subtitles than there's in dubbing IMO.

Lucky Logan. Well. Gotta say. I did not want to watch this movie, but I was intrigued. So,
with a little red wine with dinner, and a little sipping rum after, I rented it. I found the cadence of
the dialogue annoying, yet mesmerizing. I was drawn in by the southern drawl. Channing Tatum,
Adam Driver, & Daniel Craig (YES, Fucking James Bond) were a joy to watch. They held the movie
together and all three are super charismatic. There were others too, but the big three were it.

These people depicted from West Virginia are not stupid, well some had to be because it's a movie and
there are always dummies in heist movies. They were not stupid, but simple, as in, uncomplicated and
cautious. Unclouded by the fog of societal expectations, discrimination, comfortable, for the most part,
in their own skin, and not hindered by the trappings of so-called life, but more so abused by them.

Huh? I don't know. It sounded good when I heard the voice in my head say it.

Sometimes I'll visit Rotten Tomatoes or a few other sites just to see what critics and viewers said
about a movie, especially if I'm on the fence about going to see it in the theatre, or waiting to rent
it at home, or avoiding it all together. This movie was always in the latter category.

Was I entertained? Yes. Was it memorable? Yes. Was there stuff in there that I thought was
unnecessary? Yes. Was the heist unbelievable? Yes. Would I recommend it? No.

And as with the Ocean's movies, there will be a sequel, or we are led to believe so.
