I hate my fcked up memory. 11 years ago, I flipped out my credit card to purchase a $12 year long subscription to a website for online greeting cards. And yeah, I know most of 'em are free and there were some free websites then too.
This one had the one greeting card that I really wanted for that one occasion.
I am still being billed, $12 every gawddamned June for the last ten years. And I thought it was a one time deal. I can't even find the website anymore (cuz they no longer exist) but they have my cc # and keep depleting my account.
And each year, I tell myself that I'm going to do something about it.
It's a major hassle to get the account transferred over to a new account (as I'm making a few other monthly payments with this card). But I remember now, that's what my cc company told me I should do, 7 or 8 years ago to be sure to nip this issue.
