Years ago my best friend told me she found out that her husband was molesting their 4 y/o and she was going to stay with him and never leave her child alone with him ever again. I called 911 immediately after she left my house. She never forgave me but out of the blue I received this message from her daughter yesterday.

I've never gotten the chance or the nerve to tell you how much I appreciate what you did for me. I know it costs you and my mom's friendship but I always wanted you to know that what you did WAS THE RIGHT THING. I have no idea how long or bad it could have gone on/gotten and I just want you to know that I will be forever grateful for putting your neck on the line for a helpless 4 year old girl. You saved me. I love you for that and I want you to know what you did changed my life. You are inherently good and willing to put a long friendship on the line to protect me. I thank God every day that I had you looking out for me and I know you were my only chance to be saved. You will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart for your kindness, compassion, and bravery when it came to doing what is right.

I always wanted you to know how much it means to me that you took action. I hate to think of how bad it could have gotten and I never had to live it because of you. Thank you. ♡♡♡♡
