I regret to announce the loss…

For those who have been here for some time, I regret having to announce that Simplicity, a valued member, writer, commentator, forum regular and my wife passed away last march.

I was in the midst of a return to Lush when she became ill and so stepped away again to care for her. To my sorrow, her journey to the next life was not to be paused.

I’ve taken some time to grieve. I don’t know that I will ever feel the same again, but I thought I would stop by and give whatever of her friends who remain here confirmation to whatever rumors might have spread through the site.

Sorry for your loss. I read many of your stories and always enjoyed the media you posted. I don't think I knew much about your wife but my thoghts are with you while you grieve.

Thank you so much. Her health wasn’t great when we met and unfortunately it faded rapidly after I retired. The last few months were pretty hard.

I’m glad there are those here who still remember her. She would appreciate your kind thoughts.

Oh Milik! I’m so very sorry! I know your time together was all too short, but I’m so glad she had you by her side! She was indeed a valued presence here and I’m sure to many outside Lush.

I know life is never the same after a loss, we just find our new normal after a while.

I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve only been here a few years and wasn’t very familiar with her writing, but I did have My Love of Bushes, one of her stories, in my Queue. Hearing of her unfortunate passing, I have just read it now.

What drew me in was my own love of the other kind of bushes, but what I found instead was a unique and special tale of sexual self-discovery. It’s not often that you hear of someone being turned on by a spider crawling over her nipple. A sweet story, well written. I now have several other of her stories in my Queue.

Edit: I also have now read Discovery, her Gay Male story, a genre I particularly enjoy. I thought she perfectly handled the emotions and sensations of a young man experimenting with both sexes and awakening to his hidden, but true, sexuality.

I am very saddened to hear this, Milik. All my love and sympathy goes out to you. I am sorry that you have to go through this.

I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved wife. From everything I have read, it is clear that she was deeply loved and well-regarded by many. She was a remarkable author whose words touched the hearts of many. Although I did not have the privilege of knowing her personally, please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time. My thoughts are with you and your family. Hunny

I loved her work and most people never knew how hard she struggled to get there. Every word was a fight for her due to an injury she sustained in a car accident years earlier.

I am sorry to hear this. Simplicity always struck me ascaring, one of those who are the quiet backbone of the site. I did wonder about her sometimes.

I remember you too, Milik: one of the first people I remember reading on the site – one of those who was always there or thereabouts in competitions, when I looked. It's nice to see you back, but such a shame it's in such sad circumstances. I hope her memory will eventually bring you great comfort.

as an update on that story, I have been working on it, but I’ve been forced into a point where I have to write some of the sections that she was going to write that is proved emotionally hard to deal with

However, at one point it will be published. I just have to gather the strength to do it.
