I haven't found out who wrote this yet but, it touched me.

Remember the time you lent me
your car and I dented the fender?
I thought you'd kill me...
But you didn't.
Remember the time I spilled coke
on your new rug?
I thought you'd kill me...
But you didn't.
Remember the time I forgot to tell
you the dance was formal and you
came in jeans?
I thought you'd hate me...
But you didn't.
Remember the countless times you'd
try to be serious and I’d giggle?
I thought you’d leave me...
But you didn't.
Remember all the times I'd flirt
with other guys just to make you
jealous - and you were?
I thought you'd drop me...
But you didn't.
There were so many things
you did to put up with me, to
keep me happy, to love me. And
there were so many things I
wanted to say to you after you
returned front Vietnam...
But you didn't.
shouldn't it have been,

returned from Vietnam,
but you didn't

?

front should be from, then it makes sense.
Very good poem and I do remember reading it with Vietnam at the end.....
"Love all, trust a few, and do wrong to none."
Sometimes, poems and such get sent all over the place and a word gets copied wrong. Good poem. It reminds me of that saying, "A good friend is someone you know all about- and you still like them."
probably lush, looks like it but, I didn't write it.

I asked the vet that sent it to me and he doesn't know who wrote it either.
It is a great statement and I enjoyed it. I think we all need to say THANK YOU to our Vets. If you are one let me say THANK YOU VERY MUCH.SITG7ijNk5MfKeo8

Red out
Thanks Chef for the memory -

but I did.

What an excellent poem Chef I don't think our troops get enough praise from everyone as it is. But they get a whole lot more respect than the Vietnam Vets
