Oh Goddess we remember those who followed the drums of war, and left home behind to do their duty.
We remember those who never returned, and lie beneath foreign soil.
We remember the ones who waited at home, who never lost Hope or stopped Loving them.
We remember the ones who returned home and remain on the battlefield, unable to forget.
We remember those that war claimed part of them, that they returned with part of themselves absent.
We remember those who walk the walls so that others don't have to, so that others can be safe and free.
We remember those who push the limits of our knowledge so that our brothers and sisters can shake off the horrors of war.
We remember those that have none to remember their name, or their passing.
We remember the living, and the dead.
We honour their memory, the dreams they gave up, the future they surrendered so we could have Today.

Oh Goddess watch over Your children, teach us always that War is not a game.
That our brothers and sisters are precious special things, never to be thrown away foolishly.
That every fallen warrior is a dream that ended far too early, that their song ended much too quickly.
Teach us that if we must fight, let us fight with honour. That when the fight is done, let us link arms and rebuild.
That tomorrows children never know the horrors of yesterday.

For those who sleep in unmarked graves, or have no kin to mourn them,
Remind them they are not forgotten, Your daughters will find them in the plains beyond the Veil.
Like Shepherds we will find them all, and bring them to Your Light.
For we all deserve to see our Mother one last time.

Shine Your Light upon us , oh Goddess.
For we are fragile mortal beings, and need Your Light and Love.
All things were, are, and will ever be according to Your Will.
Most Blessed Be.

I pour a toast, for those who went and didn't return, for those who went and did, for those serve today.
Many blessings on them all.

Slainte.
