All you say is true. I'm one with the degrees but if I had to do it all over again, I would have paid more attention in English class. I not only appreciate your stories and poems, but also your glibness and humor. You always bring a smile to my face. I've been on this site for a year and a half now. I have no delusion of ever achieving your skill set but I truly enjoy the writing and creativity. So many have assisted me that I can't name them all. Poetry is not something I ever thought I could do but discovered it within me. It is a challenge for me but starting to flow. My favorite work I attempted was a poem comprised of all questions.

Questions of Love

Is love but a fleeting feeling?
Or something that is true?
Is it just a passing emotion?
Why is it drawing me to you?

Is love about finding beauty?
Why is there so much pain?
Can it truly mend a broken heart?
Can it make me whole again?

Is it love that bonds us together?
Or desire that controls our minds?
Can my love be a soulful promise?
Or did I just simply waste your time?

Is love like a hidden secret?
One that I am so unaware?
Does it lead to greater purpose?
Do you know how much I care?

Is love about seeking forgiveness?
Will it set aside consuming pride?
Will my selfish will bend to yours?
Or just push yours to the side?

Is love the thing the seals us?
Or am I caught by what you say and do?
Is my heart truly filled with love?
Why can't I stop thinking of you?

Is our love the real question?
Could it ever be defined?
Do you feel my soul touching yours?
Will you forever always be mine?

This is a song.

(and by the way can I say that my most favourite moments On Site is when we forget about Front Page, votes, views etc and just converse as fellow travelers...)

I like that and learn from it.

Well, yes, my writing has improved somewhat over the past two months.

Mummy even said so herself, and that's quite something coming from her.

There are several people on this site to whom I owe a great debt of gratitude. They have been most hospitable and helpful.

But my social graces leave a lot to be desired, I'm afraid. I have difficulty adhering to social norm. I often act impulsively and make a fool of myself. I want to be normal like everyone else, to be accepted by my peers, but it's difficult. I don't think people are quite ready for one such as myself.

I don't wish to be a bother, so I'll mind my own business and let you guys have fun.

I just read your story. You should enable the comments and scoring. For a first story on lush it was well done. I read your profile and personal struggles. Writing is great therapy and these authors in this community will help you along the way.
Santa Monica Bay.

And so we took the boat right out today...

I know that we have things to do, discuss and things to say...

I think that on the peaceful sea that we might find a way?

There are bigger things than everything when things are not okay...

But if we're going to let it go we should perhaps not delay?

For I can not abide to have you quite this far away,

Took the ferry out to the sound; I folded up a paper tiger.

Then I tossed it overboard, just to watch it float upon the water...

Half heard a sound, sea otter laughing, sun was in my eye...

We can see the shore from here; that's from where we came.

If you take my hand I promise you love we can get back there again...

But Baby Dear it is my fear that this is our last day? If

Found a jar full of beads, crimson red and made of glass

Reminded me of a boy from a childhood long past

When all is said, and all is done, not much to really say
