ECHO
My heart is just an echo
of another time and place.
I close my eyes and think of him,
try to see his face.
In my mind he's waiting
I fall into his arms.
I can no longer fight it,
I surrender to his warmth.
His eyes say to mine,
words he will not speak.
They fill my mind and suddenly
I feel my heart go weak.
My body begins to tremble
from his loving, gentle touch.
A touch I long for every night,
from a man I crave so much.
Once again I am alone,
as I awaken from my dreams.
My empty heart feels heavy inside,
like a bird without it's wings.
I had that feeling this summer LB. Never been away from her some much nor for so long at a time.

When I reared my happy face
