A conversation between my daughter and I. I offer this to all young women just for the heck of it : )
My darling, you are still young and still crying like a baby cries for a bottle.
You say he doesn't plan and make lists and that these are supposed to get you where you want to be.
I say, you both worked hard at getting just the basics for yourselves and each of you did this by yourselves.
Like the baby crying, you want everything life has to offer right now. Weariness comes over you. A need to run away overwhelms you.
I ask, does he love you? You say yes.
I ask, do you love him? You answer confused and are losing faith by the moment.
You say you want your family. The father, the mother, and the children happy together.
You harden your heart but tell me girl, will this get you anything you want? Will anything but work get you what you want?
Anger fills you and there is right in anger. Anger is a tool life gives you. It gets things done. But anger is not what you want.
All doesn't happen like magic. Your relief will come with work. Add dedication and you will have what you seek.
I have this now. My home is built and it is comfortable. I could not give it to you if I wanted. It can not be given.
The garden I've grown has bloomed and seeded in you and yours.
Go now daughter and build a home : )
