How many of you have changed the names of some of the people in a story for your fantasy ?

If I were to write a story involving real people, I would most certainly change their names. Even if they were willing participants with being included in such a fantasy or had no problem with their true story being shared, there is a certain enjoyment that comes from the rest of the world never being sure if such events really took place or if the individuals described actually exist. I find that a little bit of such secrecy makes things just a bit more fun from the authorship perspective.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

I have written fantasies here as though it were me, using my name. For some weird reason for my latest, which is based on my real, younger life, I changed my own name. I don't know why because the reader will know it is me who wrote it so why did I do that?
