I don't really do much in the way of self-promotion for my stuff and generally detest marketing, but this one seems deserving of a little more attention than its likely to get naturally. A couple of years ago, I wrote a one-sided dialog called "Occupied." It got an RR, and has been generally well received. If there was one story that I wanted to do an audio presentation for, it was that one. And I've wanted to do an audio recording for awhile now. And now I've finally gotten around to it.
This is the first audio story I've ever done anywhere. Every sound was produced (or at least captured) by me. I'm not much of an actor, and I sometimes stumble over my words ("Gorgasm") but I did my best to try to present it as I heard it in my head - with sound FX (amazing what you can accomplish with a handful of barbecue sauce). I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to do more like this, or if I should just stick to the 'printed word,' and leave the audio stuff to people with more talent and experience. Let me know what you think.
