A Shout Out To Some Wonderful Mods!!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to give my thanks to a few Mods here that have helped me immensely the last couple days. I was going through my "library" of stories when I noticed many of them had the title/author bar running across the cover pic. I know many wouldn't have made an issue of it, but I wanted to fix it. This was on some 48 of my stories (how it got that far I will never know!)

So I have spent the last two or three days deep in my graphics program, fixing the cover pics so the title and author are above the pics. Then I had to resubmit the stories. I would like to thank Jen, Saga, MadameMolly and WSCLG for their help in getting these stories back up with their properly configured cover pics. Especially MadameMolly and WSCLG - I gave both of them a lot of work! LOL!

I will be double checking from now on to make sure this doesn't happen again. This was a lot of time consuming work!

Very kind of you MJ!

This sounds like it could be a CSS issue / option, and could be fixed programmatically, regardless of image size. It should be; "Title, By Author", then the image, and then the story title and body. Unless of course, people wish to have the Title, By Author, overlaid on the image.

It might be best to have it as an option for authors to choose either / or?

I'll talk to our resident code genius about it.

I agree that we have some wonderful mods here on Lush who don't ever get enough love or respect. They read our stories and edit slightly for Goldies... and they have kept the forums free from unnecessary nonsense (most of the time.) Thank you to all the Mods for all the wonderful things you've done for us over the years. Hugs

May I say, having now just seen this thread, how very refreshing and well 'nice' it is to see some positive feedback and appreciation for the story moderators/verifiers. Thanks Master_Jonathan smile

Thank you RavenStar for the suggestion above but actually I want the title and author bar to show up - I just have to make sure when I create a pic for the story I make room above it. As far as I know this was not a coding error or anything to do with Lush acting up - I have to blame this all on myself and not double checking that the pic works when I get ready to submit a story. Which I will be doing now! Of course if I find the title bars moving then that will be another matter, but now all my stories work so we'll see.

Now I have to add Saucymh to my thank you list as she helped me with a few of these stories that were stubborn and didn't want to cooperate! Thank you all so much!
