I'm sure most, if not all of you, are aware of the devastation left in Maria's wake in Puerto Rico. Trying to come up with creative ways to help out, and one of the ideas i came up with is a little contest. here's how it goes...
the prize. i'll write the winner a personalized story about any subject, falling under any category, using whatever setting, elements, characters, etc, that they wish (remember, this needs to be lush legal). i'll even include myself in the story if asked. i'm perfectly fine with that.
here's how to enter. donate. this is an excellent site to donate to: https://hispanicfederation.org/unidos/ but it doesn't matter - any organization where the funds go directly to Puerto Rico.
such a little thing, really, that can go a long ways. it's also tax deductable. it's an honor system. not asking for proof, or of how much - you all know how much you can afford. it starts right now. all you have to do is post here, say you donated, and your in. i'll put all the names in a hat and have someone not me pick a winner and then, we'll work out the details, put everything else aside, and write a quality story for them.
as an added incentive - i haven't okay'd this yet, but i'm sure i'll be able to badger Nicky into letting me create a custom badge for the winner, something like, I
PR or Sprite wrote me a goddamn story or something like that - so, for you badge whores, that's a possibility, but i've yet to confirm it. anyways, you have a week. there's people without food, water, power, phone service, or medical help out there - american citizens, not that it should matter, but yeah, they are. if you read this, spread the word. let people know. love to see lots of names here.
