Finally.

Man, that was a grind and a half.

I just submitted my competition story, so hopefully, it will be verified later today.

Question: I submitted my story at 4997 words, but then the system changed the total to 5010. Very weird.

If any mods, judges, or Nicola reads this, will this system glitch be an issue with my competition entry?

If so, please return it to me and I'll amend accordingly. But I then wonder, by how much. I was already under by 3 words. Hmmm...


EDIT: It was me. The site being down was my fault. I was chatting with the mod that was verifying my story. I asked what he or she was wearing, and those words melted my keyboard and exploded my monitor. The site's servers didn't fare so well either. My apologies. But both the site and my story are now up.
