we thought we'd have a little fun with this one and use it too encourage people who don't normally enter the comps for the exact same reason, that its pointless. it's a one off and, if we get good feedback, we'll probably do once a year around this time. and no, it's NOT just a fucking popularity contest. you still have to do a bit of work with the writing a story and all that. i bet that, if you go read some of the entries, you'll see that people are taking that part seriously - there's some very well written flash coming out of this.
