This is going pretty nicely for us. Different kind of competition.

I've now got 57 votes. That is more than ever before for me.

But 3 of those votes are scores of 4. Sure didn't like to see that last 4 scored. It dropped me from 2nd place voting avg to 7th in avg score for the contest entries. I am really hoping to catch back up overnight as I am sleeping.

Well done on the 57 votes. But how can you tell what the scores are? My timeline tells me how many I've got, but not what they are. And those stats about voting average - where did you get those?

Try in your 'my stories' list. This gives averages although I'm genuinely not sure if it still does with comp ones.

If you go to the flash category, and sort by the 'popular' tab, you can scroll through the pages until yours comes up. That should let you know where it stands on average stats. It's a bit long-winded though!

Edit: bear in mind the current standings would likely be adjusted for troll votes etc, so the stated average won't necessarily be the final score

If you want to see me win, I need to be given a FIVE. This is a popularity contest. (Based on a combination of highest average score / largest number of votes). Members will decide the final vote. Since nobody has a five, I guess it will be an average score. I already have 111 votes in. I'm so excited for your attention!

I think there's probably a bit of confusion around Nicola's post-competition results process. Removing all of an entry's scores of one or two would basically invalidate the results because it would be saying that no story entered is 'poor' or 'fair' in any reader's estimation. When she says that she filters out 'troll' scores, she means instances such as competition entrants marking down other stories to try to sway the results in their favour or brand new Lush accounts which 1-bomb every comp entry.

I see no reason for any other 'low ball' scores to be removed.
