Another suggestion for the story layout pages

If I give a story a rating or make a comment, as soon as that has been registered, the page zips back to the top, except I was rating and commenting at the end of the story. Then I have to scroll back down to the end of the story to add the comment or the rating. Could there be a link at the top of the story, going to the end of it, just as there is one at the bottom of it, going back up to the top? Or could the page remain at the bottom of the story after posting a comment or rating, rather than being automatically redirected to the top?

I think it is a little annoying too but have gotten use to it.

Easy thing I do comment first then rate the story that way it doesn't go to the top of the page at least till you comment.

Hold on, I don't get what you wanted to say. You comment on the story, but it doesn't go to the top of the page until you comment? Did you mean to say give a rating? It doesn't matter, because for me, going to the top of the page happens if I comment or give a rating.

No for me when I write the comment and post it it doesn't go to the top of the page brings you back to the comment portion then I submit my vote after the comment is posted. Oh then could be something with the browser you are using I have only had that happen to me when I vote first.

I am using Firefox and have a Mac, and I have been attentive to both. It doesn't matter if I post a comment or rate a story, ziiipppp! It goes back to the top of the page.

Very odd...

I use FF and Chrome on a Windows comp never tried it on a Mac but never had any issues like that myself. Where's Gav when we need him? Sounds like a problem for the code monkey. LOL

I have added a shortcut link back to the voting section once a vote is made. This *should* work on all browser, gypsy can you let me know if this doesnt work for you.

I'll upload this change today.

Howdy...I came over here recently from another site with a few other people, for reasons I'd rather not get into, but everyone I talked to seems to agree the story pages here are very readable and well laid out compared to other sites...my only objection personally, and this is easily remedied, is those damn moving ads on the side of the page...if I have to see another ad with a guy using a "Fleshlight" while I am trying to read a story, I might hurt someone...fortunately, if you refresh the page a couple of times he will disapear back into his hole he crawled out of...
Overall, I have to give the story pages an A for readability...it is something you appreciate more coming from another site...

Lol... so now you can do it in two ways.
To the right is the little window with a long list of things. one of them is called "comments" if you click there it takes you all the way down.

They probably wont be on the site for much longer.

Thanks for the kind words. I've tried to make the layout of the site as clean as possible, with minimal intrusion. The expensive hosting bills do need to be paid though, somehow.
