We're working on a birthday notification for the bottom of the forum area.

That's a nice suggestion to add it into the profile area too.

I think the former story site I was on (now defunct) showed "Many Happy Returns" to any given member's birthday. It took me months to figure out what that meant. It was constantly on the main site, because every day was somebody's birthday.

You could always just post the date but not the year. That way everyone gets a little special Happy Birthday, even if everyone else forgets.

Normally in forums, people have the option to display birthday or not. Having just the date might be nice, rather than the year, for those that wish to hide their age (as an option - sorry Gav!).
