Can't reorder my stories

Hi,

Now that I have over 10 stories submitted I'd really like to re-order them so the better ones are at the top. Only I can't seem to make a new order stick.

I go to the "my stories" page to change the order, but, when I navigate back to my profile the order hasn't changed.

I've tried both Firefox and IE in case it was browser related and no change.

Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

You know Chatnip, it's a lot easier to re-order your stories when you only have like two...

Don't click at the same story many times dear, you need to follow the story up or down the list or you will just keep on switching places back and forth between two.

I suggest you should erase all but two and see if it helps :P
(buy me a plane ticket and I'll come over to your place and fix it.)

Maybe you need to empty some cookies, I don't know... I've not posted a story in ages.

I tried your suggestion about emptying some cookies...in fact, now the whole bag is empty and on top of that I'm almost out of milk...

ok, weird... it let's me move all my stories around, but when i go to look, only the older stories are actually moved, the newer ones go back to where they were. is it me? i am perfectly willing to accept that it is. smile

Actually I have had the same issue as Rachel. I have tried to re-order my stories, but they always just go back to the same old order??? I am using Safari so Google Chrome is not the issue?

Yeah, i was trying to do it in google chrome and i'd reorder them but they'd go right back to how they were - however, when i used explorer, it worked just fine. my suggestion is to just try different browsers until you find the one that works? i have no explanation for it, btw. smile

i think the issue is that you have too many stories and it freezes up in panic when you try to change them around smile

So in summary, according to Rachel I am too prolific a writer and according to DirtyMartini the situation is hopeless in any browser. Time to pour myself a Dirty Martini, chill out, forget about re-ordering my scribbles and read one of Rachel's un-re-ordered stories.......and relax!!!

Opera might work but is just yet another browser to clog up ur computer. Its even easier to put stories in the best order when you only have one :-) another thing could be if you use a private browser it may block some of the site features. I was using google chromes incognito for a while and it wouldnt let me post a story same with firefox and safaris private tabs but when i went to a regular browser that tracks my every keystroke it posted. This may be the same with the reorder problem i dont really know.

Btw, Stories Space...Lush's non-erotic sister site just went through an upgrade, which will follow here on Lush soon I'm told...

If the same thing happens here after the upgrade as over on Stories Space, there is little point in making any attempt at changing the order at the moment when they are just going to scatter around like a dropped deck of cards after the upgrade...

I do endavour to keep the order intact for stories, friends and your favourite lists during the migration of the database. I am working through any issues discovered during the migration over on stories space. By the time we come to upgrade Lush, hopefully all the major issues will have been dealt with.
