Choose your member name carefully!

We've had a potential issue crop up with a member who's realised his member name is probably breaking copyright laws for a particular company's brand.

I highly recommend not choosing a member name which is a brand or has potential copyright issues. It's highly unlikely, but the company that owns the rights to the brand name, might take issue at being associated with a member on an erotic stories site such as this, and you may find yourself in legal hot water.

I suggest the sensible approach would be to not invite trouble in the first place. flower

Come on Nicola...who would be stupid enough to write erotic stories under a name that's an active registered trademark???

I want you to know though, that I've thought this ou carefully and came up with a new name and avatar picture...
I even checked it out, and it is not a registered trademark...

YIKES....That is not some hot water I would want to be in. I thought very hard about my name. Its More poetic than everything. I think eventually it will soon be used as my singiture name, I use it everywhere now.
