We can't edit our competition winning stories for 12 months? Can we go in and do minor edits (I'm being anal, I know)?
sounds like you are questioning moderators judgement giving you price at all ;) don't, story is great as it is. write another with improvements you have learn so far

you are welcome.

Yes, you can. smile
It won't let me.
Big V, here's a hint just for you: As admin and owner, Nicola, aka 'she who must be obeyed', is all powerful. ;)

Huh, that's odd. I'm sure it always used to allow it.

Does it give you a warning box or message of any kind?
It says I'm not allowed to for 12 months. sad

Honestly, I've never come across that before. Competition rule 12 does state that "Winners must grant lushstories.com the right to display their story for 12 months after the competition has closed, so new readers have time to enjoy their story. Authors will retain all their usual copyrights to their stories."

Perhaps it is something that was implemented to prevent a winning story from being removed/hidden? I would drop Gav or Nicola a PM to ask. I can't see any issue with allowing minor changes to be made after the fact. There's always something that you miss, lol.
I understand the need for the rule, so you can't turn a competition winner into a totally different story after the fact. I just want to make some final tune-ups.

I sent Nicola an email about it. Thanks, Liz! And sorry for accidentally posting this thread twice.
I tried to make a minor edit on my comp winner and it gave me same note. My original story was 2,000 words longer and I wanted to return it to its original form before editing it down to make competition parameters.
If it's simply a few minor edits, I don't see the problem.

You will need to message Gav with your changes, as the stories are programmatically locked.
