We will soon be going live with this, it should be a lot of fun.

For those that missed the previous thread, we are having a property made in the Red light Center Adult 3D Virtual World. It's a free online role playing game for adults, where you can wander around, meet people, chat real time etc.

There are a few minor things that are being changed, but this will be more or less the finished property:

I'm here to serve:

We could really do with a dancefloor in here...

A quiet corner for Rocco and Tech:

Club Zafia is looking good:

Is that your av, too, Nic?

Could you see what the PC requirements are for that game, please? Members will need to know.
Yes it's my AV. You can look however you want, it's very customisable.

I have 2Gb of Ram on my old home pc and it doesn't run well at all, but that could be down to a very basic video card / it's a 5 or 6 year old machine.

It runs fine on my laptop. These are the quoted spec requirements:

Minimum System Requirements for Running Utherverse

Processer / CPU - Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Equivalent
Operating System - Windows 2000/XP/Vista
RAM - 1 GB for 2000 and XP, 2 GB for Vista
Hard Disk Installation - 3 GB (the total installation is around 1GB but we require additional space to decompress the files during installation)
DirectX - DirectX® version 9.0c
Video Card - Must support DirectX® 9, as well as we recommend a card with a minimum of 64mb of on-board memory.
Sound Card - DirectX® 9 certified sound card
Connection - Multiplayer via Internet DSL or Cable High Speed Internet DSL or Cable High Speed Internet

Note: These are our recommended minimum requirements for running the Utherverse client successfully. Meeting these standards does not necessarily guarantee that the client will work on your system as other software applications or hardware may affect the performance of your system in an undesired way. These just means the client is compatible with your system.
It's going live today.

I've asked to be able to edit the front of the site, it's just a store sign out the front, not really all that enticing.

Slowly getting there.

You can meet in there and chat with each other realtime. Actually, you can do that here LOL.

The difference is, you'll be in another virtual world, where you can move around and see people (well, representations of themselves), as well as interact in 3D. It's quite fun even for someone fairly disinterested in computer games.
The store front needs work, it's rather plain. Here are some shots from the outside:

Even I'M interested... and I'm NEVER interested in things like this!

The last shot looks like I sat on some gum. Don't you just hate that
Looks like it's not Mac-able, eh?

I found this on their site for you Monocle

Red Light Center / Utherverse / Rude Virtual on an Intel Macintosh

Unfortunately we do not currently have a Mac version of any of our clients. We have however been informed by a number of users that RLC will with Bootcamp on the Intel Mac, as well as VM Ware Fusion to some degree.

As a disclaimer though, we cannot support this type of setup, as you may run into difficulties. A number of users have however been able to use the program normally with this kind of an arrangement, so you may want to give it a try.

Check back with us in a few months for a status update on a Mac-friendly version of the client.
Has anyone been in yet?
I've been in, but I keep getting lost too much technology for me I guess..

Thanks M! I'm the same. I think it needs a map you can pull up at any time, so you can find your way around. There are pockets of activity, but it's quite hard to find everything.
I know! And people keep directing me, but I keep getting lost. I’ve had a couple fun conversations just standing around though, and I seem to enjoy dancing while I stand. I also LOVE my outfit, so overall it’s all good!
I finally found the lush building... I was sad though, a bed and other equipment that required a partner... and I was all alone
I think it must be a time / place related issue. With 3 million members it must get busy somewhere, at some time of day!

We need a resident virtual lush host to tend the bar and chat to people
I see you staring at "longandhard4u". Did you talk to him?
