Same here. I was trying for something a more akin to my regular stories ( more sex ) and absolutely nothing in that vein is working. They feel like scenes, not stories.
They keep wanting to rhyme, too. My micro on the blue site ended up being that way, but it was a fantasy/dryad piece, and it fit that. It comes out like a limerick on a bathroom wall when you start doing it in erotica. LOL Thought about bringing "Anew As One" over here as well, but the only thing close to erotica is the image that goes with it.

The majority of submissions have been really good. Some, average. And of course, a few people seem to be taking the mick a bit.
We want this category to be a huge success. It will hopefully encourage new authors to write and publish here, especially those who might not feel they have an entire story in them just yet. Plus it offers up a savage challenge to existing writers.
Talking of which, it must be time for a new competition ...
I was not taking the Michael. I honestly believed both my efforts were worth submitting. In fact, I still believe the short one was valid, but I accept the mod's decision and the fact that you were displeased. I won't do it again.
I write because I enjoy it, not to get my numbers up or in any way to game the system. Like Annie the Naughty I reject many stories unfinished. I get in trouble if I push them.
Looks like we're in for a nasty spell of wether.

Over at Rumplations, Bigg Bertha has been prepared to do her duty and is, currently in the process of converting coffee grounds and water into her blessed brew. The tea kettle has kettled up a kettle-full of hot water for the tea and coco crowd. Others, especially those in more advanced time zones, might prefer something from the joint's unique menu of perculiar whines, bleers, and fine lickers.

There's no minimum word limit in case you missed the message.
There is however, a quality standard which we'll uphold vehemently. Otherwise the category would end up a sea of dross. And what good would that do anyone?

Figured out my word count issue.If anybody else is having problems with word count overflow, you might want to look at em-dashes. If they're not connecting words with no spaces as style guides dictate, they end up counting as words in Lush's word count.
Posted the one I was struggling with last night, and I have one more that finally brings a little heat, which I'll put up in a couple of days. Then it's back to WIPs.

I've said before that I don't get poetry, so that doesn't really interest me. I'd like to have micros showing up on my main page view, though. An option to choose which tabs appear as part of your main page view would be much appreciated.
