New Feature: Author's Note

This issue has been raised a couple of times and thanks to Gav, the Author's Note feature is now available.

As a general rule, notes have always been posted at the ends of stories which isn't always practical. This new feature is specifically for a note you might want your readers to see before they start a story.

You can add the note through the story submission page, exhibit A:



The limit for the note is 1,000 characters and it will appear in italics at the top of the story. The one liner will now be in bold to differentiate. There is no requirement to use the new feature; it's just there in case of need. As it will be separate to the main story, the note will not appear in the home page/profile page extracts thus keeping things neat and tidy and wonderful.

Please remember to only include information relevant to the story. For example, writing 'hannah is truly wonderful heart eyes emoji' would be irrelevant, no matter how true.

A little birdy (possibly a blackbird) told me that Hannah is truly wonderful. Not sure if flattery is enough to get her to ghost write, but it might be worth a try (for me... not convinced our latest comp winner needs a ghost writer...).

This is a great idea and a long time coming. Now we can put down how many chapters the story is (ie Part 1 of 5), we can refer readers to read the first story when doing a sequel (please read XXX as it explains the characters and plot), or anything else we wish to inform the readers of (such as a warning if the story contains or something else that might prove distasteful to some sensitive readers.)

Great idea, Gav. I know I have needed this for some of my own stories!

Right now, that's the only legal way to get weed here in Ontario.NK0lFpfx2Ua5h4jD Our brick and mortar stores got delayed because of a change of government.

On topic, love the idea. Will probably find a use for it somewhere along the way.
