I like the idea of having themed ranks. Not sure about "addict" though, sounds as if it's a bad thing! Maybe guru?

I agree .... also I would make "active wordsmith" = 50 posts, and 100 plus posts given its own ranking.

As it stands there is too a big gap between 30 and 100, then a massive (far too large) a gap from 100 to 1,000 posts

Ok, I've made the changes. there is no 1000+ category now for the time being. Will give it some more thought.
