Is it possible to have a "Notes" field when submitting stories? Sometimes I have a story that's been rejected, and I'd like to explain things to the person reviewing the story. I think it could be useful for authors to be able to explain things sometimes.
Maybe you could just pm the verifier who did your story? The reasons why a story would be rejected are pretty clear, I can't really think of many situations where a note from the author would change how the content is reviewed.
I remember the divine rapscallion once suggesting something similar. It would certainly be very useful if it wasn't too cumbersome to implement.
I don't see this being necessary. If the story moderators get the vibe that a story feels wrong, or has elements that don't sit very well, no amount of explanation from the author is going to change that perception.
Readers will more than likely pick up on it too.
Unless you mean for comments like, "This is the first part to the story, it's introducing characters and the plot slowly, there's no sex in it"?
Matt, can you give me just one example, where this would be useful please.
When Maggie suggested it, the example she gave was of when a word is purposefully spelt incorrectly, for literary effect. I don't advocate writers trying to justify themselves when a story has been rejected.
