Posting Stories As A Collaboration

I don't know if this has been asked before. I looked around but couldn't find a relevant post.

Are there any plans to make it possible to post a story under the name of more than one author? I have seen at least one story recently that was posted under one individual's name but the opening line of the story gave credit to a co-author.

When the time comes that I complete a collaboration I would like it very much to be posted under both names.

Otherwise, the only way fair way I can figure out who would get to post it under their name would be for one person correctly predicting some random event. An example would be for one person to choose odd or even with the other person choosing a date. On the chosen day both would check the closing average for Dow Jones Industrials on the New York Stock Exchange. Selection would be dependent on whether the average was odd or even. This process would be fair but having both names associated with a project would be better.
That would require a lot of code monkey work. It would also lead to duplicate content issues which aren't desirable. A story needs to be associated with one account only.

It's very rare for a collaborative story to be submitted, so giving credit to the other author (s) is probably the best way to handle it. If readers like the story, I'm sure they will check out the profiles and other stories of the authors mentioned.
Hey Kyle...the only reason why you would need it to be posted under both names, really, is to improve your "numbers"...either your average score or number of stories...
And, if that is your reason for doing it...don't bother...
I've worked on a couple of things with others, I edited a story, co-wrote a poem and a story and my name wasn't even mentioned...they were all posted under the names of the members I worked with...
But you know what? They all did very well for the other members and it felt just as good as if my name was attached...
Try it, you'll see...
Later,
Alan.

You know you want it, you know you need it bad...get it now on Amazon.com...

My reason is to give credit where credit is due. When you put a lot of work into something then that work should be recognized. That is my concern with collaborations. A note at the top is not a lot.

You mistake my motives by suggesting that I am looking for ways to boost my scores. I am a little deeper than that, not much maybe, but certainly deeper. If I wanted to improve my numbers I would write stories not the kind I write that most people are not particularly interested in.
How about a link box, like we link copy right information and such.

Special credit, or something like that?

It wouldn't show on the front page, but the name would still show.

Your co-writer's name could be put in as one of the tags for the story.
