This past month has been a lot of fun. Great to see so many involved and smiling. This Pride Month Avatar thingie and that writing comp thingie were paired nicely, like the lemon and orange wafer cookies I bought today at my favourite Italian store. They called them Ice Cream Biscuits. Only the Italian's can make you eat cookies and gelato, together, and have you feel zero guilt about it. Well, there were my Russian and Ukraine grandmothers. "Eat! Eat!" they'd say. I most certainly did.

I do hope we can do this again next year, and each year after that. We all like to eat.

This video, if you recall from the early 80's, represented a powerful message. For me, it shares the challenges, fears, heartache, and frustrations of gay and questioning youth. I don't know how many hundreds of times I've listened to this song and watched this video. It still resonates with me today. If you can get past the 80's noises that were once called music, and the bad acting, the song and lyrics are actually pretty damn good. WE probably know someone exactly like this and today, because of sites like this, better understand their wrestling with their reality.

Anyway, I've rambled and babbled too long. Give it a listen. And if Vanessa scams my points, I'll have some very harsh words for her.

There were some truly amazing avatars and a winner was difficult to determine. There were a number of exceptional bribes and beautiful, meaningful posts too!

This image was taken recently outside of the Stonewall Inn, NYC where a June 28, 1969 police raid became a catalyst for equal rights for those identifying as LGBTQ+. I like to think the individual in the pic was there in 1969 and now here he is, 50 years later, declining in years but knowing he was once a part of something so important. Sadly things are not yet equal. Regardless of your sexual identity please support equal rights for all. Love is love.

Well done Susie, it was my favourite the moment I saw it. Just adore the black and white opening to reveal the rainbow. Even better I loved how so many people changed their avatar and represented Pride. Congratulations all.

Well done LYFBUZ and those that helped for organising this, a great way to demonstrate solidarity. And yes I am, albeit slowly, reading my way through all the stories. About a third done so far, but aim to read them all by the 6th. My special thanks to those that have read and commented on my story, I am almost overwhelmed by the lovely things you have said. Thank you so much, it means more to me than you might imagine.

Thanks so much to Lyfbuz for dreaming up the idea and to everyone who participated. The site has been a riot of colour this past month and while it's meant I can't automatically pick my avatar out in a crowd, it's been totally worth it to see not only the colours, but the outpouring of love and support for other members and the whole pride concept.
