Story editor: auto save draft

Perhaps I'm unusual - I actually write my stories in the story editor rather than write them offline and paste them in.

I have become accustomed to occasionally previewing the story and clicking 'save draft.' My feature request would be for a javascript on the page to just save my draft every 30 seconds or so for me.

Perhaps this could be enabled for pre-submission stories only. Once a story is submitted, you don't want to "save it" automatically like that, as that implies a trip back to the approval queue. That should be explicitly demanded by the user.
My novel, The Society, is available now in the Kindle Store: http://www.amazon.com/The-Society-ebook/dp/B00BPF9U2I
This is certainly something we could add as a feature if enough people wanted it. Google does with its email and document apps, browsers and the internet are very unreliable!

I don't know if this sounds like a good idea to me...I think it could cause problems for people editing something if changes are auto saved too often...

Personally, I think you're better off just getting in the habit of hitting the "save" button now and then...I know I do it after I write a paragraph or so...

You know you want it, you know you need it bad...get it now on Amazon.com...

Well, yeah, but that's done by preview, save, then go back to my stories, then pick the story and edit it. It's less than fluid.

So maybe even just a Save Draft button that doesn't require you to go to Preview?

I was sure we had one already. Definitely a good idea.

An autosave off / on, with minutes settings would also be a welcome addition, for those who wish to use it.
This does sound like a good idea, though I usually write my stuff offline and paste it in. I do preview it, however and often do some last minute tweaking.
