So... Since Gav is done with the BIG chat room project, and once again well done gav!

How about a Favourite Author type button. Meaning that when you read a story from an Author you seem to really like you can push a button and get sent a pm when they post another story.

Seems like a good way to have stories promoted too as so many good ones get lost.

We're (well, Gav is!) working on a system which will inform you when one of your favourite authors has a new story published on site.

It will probably be linked to the private messaging system, and / or linked to your email address.

I have added the follow author link on each story (top and bottom). When you follow an author you will receive a PM once they have published and had approved a new story. The list of authors you are following appears on your profile page, just under you favourite stories section. You can remove authors from your following list from your settings page.

I have also cleaned up the settings page, making each section in a seperate tab, rather than one huge page. Let me know if anythings broken!

Oh, and I've added a Delete profile option too. This will hopefully cut down on some of the administration I have to deal with!

Just a question gav,

Is the "delete account" final or does it come up with a message like "do you want to proceed?, yes, no" ?

I have a terrible habit of accidently pressing the wrong buttons and don't want to delete my account by mistake.

It looks so much better and easier now by the way. Fantastic work.

I tested that myself! It comes up with a form asking for your current password, and reason why you wish to delete your account. It's to stop accidents happening. It is final, Gav cannot recover your member account once it's gone. You'd have to start afresh if you changed your mind.

Btw, have you ever tried to leave facebook? I set up an account there years ago and never used it. I deleted it the other day, you need to put in your password, there are lots of "are you sure?", "is this temporary, will you be back?" type questions, and finally you have to put in one of those captcha things. Apparently they keep all your personal details on file regardless, and hand them over to the FBI. Or that's what the conspiracy theorists told me.

But unfortunately facebook has sued this website and the guys have stopped their suicide mission concerning facebook. Sad to see facebook being so ticked off about this.

The whole account goes. Once that button is pushed, it's irretrievable, despite protestations of drunkeness / "my flatmate did it as a joke" etc. All stories, comments, everything is wiped.

The delete button was put in to save me time with Administration. I was offering the personal touch before, asking people for a reason why they wanted to leave (in case its anything we can fix).

I soon learnt that the majority of people leaving, their issue was not to do with Lush.

So there we have it, your very own delete button and a reason field to let me know your woe's.
