When people leave Lush, does it automatically delete their votes and comments as well as their stories?

Yes, ma'am, deleting an account removes all the stories, votes and comments associated with it. Deactivating it leaves all those items in place, however, but makes the profile page inaccessible.

As M1 says, yes, the whole account goes, as if they were never here.

The exception to that is in the forums, their posts are left and show up as "Guest" posts. The reason for that is, if they had started a popular post which several hundred people had contributed to, and it was automatically removed, that could make a lot of people rather miffed!

I was very confuddled when I first signed up and saw how many posts "Guest" had made, and how it kept going up randomly. I'm used to seeing seperate "Guest" accounts for each ex-member.


I asked because I'm 99% sure a comment and vote are down on one of my thingies, and I couldn't work out why, or who! Thank you for the replies.

I think it would be strange if mail suddenly dissapeared from your inbox if someone deleted themselves, You would never get to read their goodbye note smile
