So, as a point of elaboration, the idea behind adding an "online now" filter to the Member Search page is to permit the user to find a subset of the members currently online that meet other specified conditions, for example, "females from Wyoming that enjoy bdsm stories, are authors, AND are online currently."

And if you can do that Gav, I need the numbers for the lotto on Saturday. It's up to 30mil.
between you and me, the winners are 6

Now can you tell me, "females from Wyoming that enjoy bdsm stories, are authors, AND are online currently." please?

reading this forum i saw a post that mentioned google+ i personaly really like the circle feature on that network and was wondering if it was possible to implement a personal circle thing here. like so i can organize the people i actually want to tak to with the people i just added to get that pesky socialite badge smile also maybe like a circle and a fan button for the various categories like if you are a fan of the spanking category maybe a circle/ semi private chatroom/ forum for those who have hit the like/+1 button on the spanking category to talk and pilot new story ideas.

Ik that the above is asking kind of a lot but i really like the idea of being able to pilot stories before they are published. maybe a place to post stories that we are not sure about submitting. a place we can get feedback on stories before submitting them. this magical place of course would only be available to members not the general public and it maybe we could set filters so only friends, or select members could view a specific story we want feedback on. just an idea though i know it may be hard to program
The 'Back to top' option is really useful, as would be a 'Go to bottom' option also !! It would save having to scroll down long profile walls, when one wishes to post a comment. Might want to word it slightly differently though !

Good idea, but have you thought of just sending the story in a pm to certain friends to read. I've sent more than 38k words this way, so it works. Just cut & paste the story into a pm box. It would also save room on the site not having another area set aside. Of course your friends are not able to influence the moderators, I've had stuff turned down that friends thought was fine, but as you say, they can give honest feed back and that's always good.

How about an index of various words that newbies might not know the forum meaning of?
Here's a suggestion...I just noticed over on Stories Space that one of the "Popular tags" is the word "humour"...with the, um, non-American spelling...

If you click on it, all the stories tagged with the word "humour"...spelled that way, do indeed show up...but none of the stories tagged "humor" show...

Is there any way that both the American and, um, non-American spellings of certain words can be included in the same search?

I know, I'll probably get a response something to the effect that us U.S. types should just learn how to spell...but, if I type "humour" in my word processor it just shows up as a misspelled word in spell-check...

Surely there must be a solution...I just don't want my stories/poems left out of popular searches because of the Americanized spelling of certain tags...even if we have to agree on a standardized spelling for certain popular tags...and maybe the mods can change them if they are entered differently?

I'm sure this situation applies equally on all three Lush sites to some extent or another...

Just my thoughts for today...

Why don't you tag your stories thoroughly, so they will appear in both searches?

Story tags: humour, humor, funny, 67goat, whatever

That would save Gav trying to merge 2 dictionaries together.

I don't particularly have a problem with that...other than the tags start to take up multiple lines, which I guess isn't a problem...and btw, I see you've developed a real feel for my tag system...

Btw...if we edit tags, do the stories go back to the mods? I added a tag to something over on Stories Space, and it just showed up right away...I would expect it would be the same here...

There are a few stories I'd like to add some tags to, especially early stuff...

Just something for the wish-list but:

I think we should have badges for getting to 100,000 profile views. Or maybe a 24K gold outline on our profiles...or a diamond-studded ribbon in the top right-hand corner... or an attention-whore that jumps out and does cartwheels across the page when someone clicks on our profile.

I have finally reached this milestone! 'Tis a special day...

Her Royal Spriteness is even letting me wear the princess tiara for the day. Ok fine, she's not 'letting me'... I just took it.

Erm...just sayin' I would like a attention whore on my page but us men will NEVER get 100,000 profile views. Could we change the standards to like 500 and have the contigency that there are no cock pics as well?

Just sayin'

Btw Ashleigh...a big congratulations on the 100k milestone...all those views are well-deserved I might add...it's not every day you meet a girl who is both hot looking and can write hot stories...

Btw...if a car hits 100k miles, isn't it usually time to trade it in on a newer model???

Just thinking out loud...don't mind me...

Way to go Ashleigh!

That definitely needs recognition of some kind.

The stories shouldn't go back in the queue for tag editing Alan.
First off, as Doll pointed out, she didn't borrow my tiara - she ripped it from my head (as well as a hunk of hair!) while cackling maniacally

second of all, on behalf of girls who are both hot looking and can write hot stories, a frying pan to the head of Mr Martini smile

thirdly, i agree - some sort of special recognition should go out to those who hit 100,000 views. I think Doll should be given the title of 'Personal Bimbo to Her Royal Spriteness'. :)

ok, in all honesty, congrats, Ash. You got those views for a reason - your wit, your intelligence, your talent, and your sexiness. And, for anyone not lucky enough to get to know the girl behind the name, she's one of the sweetest woman i know here and i am humbled by her friendship.

ok, Doll - i gave you a glowing endorsement... can i get those nude photos back now?

It's too late... I already sold them to Hustler. You'll be appearing in their September issue of the photo-spread 'Dirty Disney Divas of Cyberpsace'... Uhm, they photoshopped a couple of dwarves into them too but I figure it just makes it all kinkier, right?

PS. Thanks to everyone for the love! XO

Maybe it should be mandatory to write a message when requesting friendship. You click "Ask to become a friend", you're taken to the message writing screen, you write a little something that explains why and then you send the request. I'm sure most of the people hate random friend requests. Not me... I was requested once in 10 months, and I promptly accepted. Wait.. twice!

The way things work right now, either you just empty-request someone, or you have to send a private message separately, and in some cases, I assume some people get a lot of messages and requests, and at some point, the two become dissociated. By combining requesting and messaging, it makes it easier for people to sort out those who just add people randomly, or because they have a hot avatar.

Oh yeah...I think this is great as well...I can include one of my classy and original lines along with my friend requests...

Something like..."Your name must be Daisy, because I have the incredible urge to plant you right here."

Or..."I may not be Fred Flintstone, but I bet I can make your BedRock."

Yeah, I think this is a great idea...

Man, that's a great idea... I never imagined it this way, but yeah... Click "Ask to be a friend", then "Insert your pick-up line", then Send!

And dude, sorry, but I won't sleep with you. Sprite has an outside chance, but it's still a long shot.

I like to ask this question once in a while to see if there are any good ideas for site improvements we can incorporate.

Does anyone have any suggestions / ideas?

I'm some wat new to the LUSH community...

But, sometimes I really feel that the LUSH server is not running properly and takes lot of time to respond....

I think sm administrator might go through this and solve it...
Assfucker - if you'd read through the forums, you'll see there are frequent mentions about our servers being in the process of being upgraded. It was a 3 month job, full time, to fix it up. We have a part-time programmer who can allocate a few hours per day of his own time, voluntarily, to do this for us.

The good news is, it's almost at beta testing stage, so bear with us.
ive seen a lot of new people that ask the same questions that already have been asked, and i know this is not good for the site. So how about if you havent post any new topis on Lush, for the first 2 you want to start, the system takes you to the search part of the site and says you have to look first if its already been ask before you can post?
The ability to scroll through the black boxes would be incredibly helpful rather than them moving with you as you scroll down the screen. That way you don't have to close anything to see what else is appearing, or miss any chat requests.

Also, a noise to indicate a chat request? It's possible that there already is an option for this, and I've missed it, but I regularly miss chat requests when I'm doing other things.
Hey Nicola,

I'd love to see an iPhone application (or all types of phone applications) and simplified browsing for telephone. Its easy to use currently but I get lazy about navigating from my phone. Could be an income generator if you charged a small fee for the app to eliminate the "colorful ads" for those whe read from their phones or in public.
This is something relatively minor, but I think would help negate the complaints about word games dominating the Latest Posts list. I notice that as of right now, when I go into one of the subsections, such as Site Related or Personal/Relationships the Latest Posts list is there too, and still shows the last 5 posts for the entire site. Would it be possible to have that filtered so that it only shows the latest 5 posts for whichever subsection you are in? That way if I only really care about what happens in General I can see what is being discussed, even if the last 5 were in the same forum. Currently only one of those threads would show up under Last Post, for say, The Think Tank.
Now i'm not going to lie I MAY have skipped a couple of pages before I decided to post on here... something about reading 500 posts seemed boring, maybe it's just me?

Anyway, Recently It's come to my attention that some of my friends use the "Blog" area To post information that can be time sensitive. Which is cool and all until you realize that it was time sensitive from a month or two ago.

I think it would be cool to see a time stamp of some sort on the blog entry's
