is it going to be a mobile version or an app? i think you could get an app on android marketplace (maybe not) but definitley not on apple they are so so strict about content. if mobile version doesn't have ads maybe a donate button is in order i am sure there are plenty of people who would love to donate and you shouldn't feel bad about taking our money smile

also is there a way to mek it so when you sign in to lush it takes you back to the page you were just on. because i will b like on a forum about to post and then realize i forgot to log in and then after i log in i am taken back to the home screen

Maybe it's been mentioned before but I would like to see a How to/ tips and tricks section in the forums. I know you have the FAQ but there are still some questions I have not seen in there. I'm not looking for anything fancy just something to help the computer illiterate people like myself.

Examples:
How to quote someone. (took me about 2 months to figure that button out)
How to quote a sentence that someone says and not the whole text. (still don't know how)
How to post a link.
How to use the search function. (for those pesky people who ask the same questions over and over)
How to embed the youtube link without having to type the whole text.
How to exit the chat rooms without signing out of your account. (apparently the back button on the browser doesn't log you out of the chat room)

I can see that some of these are stupid questions but it would be nice to have an area where we can refer to if we are unsure of how to do something without having to send a message to someone to ask how. I'm sure there are more from others too. Just a suggestion.

I've been requesting this feature for months, Buz. I think Gav has enlisted a chemist buddy of his to assist. Maybe 3rd quarter 2012.

I personally think that if someone has a blatantly advertising "name" on here like: deb40d, or lauren32d, or whatever... they should be REQUIRED to post pics of given measurements!

When I look at the profile of a friend, I see a link to "Notepad". This has turned out to be VERY useful, as I can leave notes about what the friend does and does not like, and info that they share with me. This is a great way to remind myself of who they are and what we last talked about. My suggestions: Have the Notepad link show in a different color if there is something saved. Give me a button that will show a table of all friends for whom I have saved something in their Notepad, and the contents, so I can immediately go to the profile of the person who told me X, or with whom I discussed Y.

And one other thing. When I find awesome animated gifs (or static pics) on the internet, I often save them to my hard drive. But if I want to embed one of them in a comment or email, I can't use the copy I have. I have to go out and find the internet address of the original. Very frustrating. I would like to embed my own locally saved pics/gifs in comments.

You can send your locally saved pics in messages here...just go into "account"..."image gallery" then click on the image and copy the URL up top...paste it into a message, and the picture shows up...believe me, done it many times...

This is probably beyond the capabilities of the servers or may take a lot of work for something that's unnecessary at the moment but I love customization. I wish there was more I could do with my profile besides just background color. Its a lot to dream about but if anyone has a YouTube account you know what it's like. The ability to rearrange the Boxes, change text colors, save presets, change the opacity of the different boxes would be cool to be able to really customize our own pages but being as this is a story site. It's not really needed but every time I log in deep down in my heart I secretly wish it. silly

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I believe that was part of the reason myspace tanked Garza.

You ended up going to someone's page and would be hit by autoplaying tracks, a blizzard of colour and animations, and get a headache.

It is also one of the reasons Facebook looks like it was designed by papa smurf, it's clean, easy on the eye, and functional. We are taking the latter approach too. I wasn't initially keen on even having the profile page backgrounds customisable, but I think they sexy up the place a lot.

i know i'm blonde, but it's complicated enough here as it is, i don't need to have to get a degree to be a member and have a bio page smile

If I may add, as a social media virgin (I guess technically not anymore), a glossary or index of what some of the terminolgy means within a site such as Lush. I'm pretty sure I get the Badge section, but some of the basics are leaving me puzzled. For example, I'm still not entirely sure I understand the difference between friending someone and following someone and what they mean when they're talking about chatting or cybering

And oh yeah... I guess I just popped my First Forum Contribution cherry too for that matter. Thanks for hearing me.

Hopefully, this will be of some help. Friending someone is basically a contact list. When they are your friends, you can poke them, receive their activities notices etc. 'Following' someone is simply you will be notified when that person has written a new story - they don't necessary have to be friends for you to receive this.

Chatting is having a friendly chin wag, talk etc, and cybering is another term of sexting - it is sex talk or virtual sex.

I think it should change colors to reflect the accumulation of time by the member...for instance, after 25 years it should turn silver to mark the member's silver anniversary...after 50 years it should turn gold...that sort of thing...

It would be nice to be able to search stories according to title. Right now I can't seem to do that so I have to search under the tags to find the story I am looking for. I think it would help with these stories that have multiple chapters but the same title.

I think that what a lot of people are getting at is that they want it to operate a little more like Facebook. There's another idea: Facebook integration, if it's not been done already, although I wouldn't use it, because this is a site just for me and not my Facebook friends.

Facebook integration might not be the best idea because like you said this is kind of seperate from my facebook account i have colleagues and potential bosses on facebook that i would never want to share my activities on here with. However, notifications are a great idea as is of course and app/ mobile version.

i would also like to see more relevant ads. this may not be possible but personaly i come here to avoid the disgusting world of free and even paid online porn i know google has a lot of relevancy ad programs they may work very well on this site and even get some more cash for the team !
