go to Account on the red bar
scroll down to settings
scroll down to personal details and open it up
under update member details there's a link for: hide story catagories - click it and pick which catagories you want to hide.

I would like to have a "multi quote" button added. Then you could just click the multi quote button on all the posts you wish to reply to, then click the normal reply button and all those posts appear in your post box and you just reply between the quotes in the box. God, did I even make sense there?? I know what I mean..Anyway, I think that would be handy as I see people who like to reply to multiple posts but have to generate a new reply for each.

I just saw one advertising an escort agency, which isn't allowed obviously, but non of my mod friends seem to be around to delete it...
You know, just some sort of "panic button" you could press if there's an urgent matter (and I have seen some in the past) and a mod will come to your assistance?

When I got one, it DID show up in my timeline, which was a lovely surprise, I must say!!
Oh, I was wondering if it would be possible to filter your timeline posts in the same way as you can with your newsfeed? (not that I'm trying to add to the already huge workload.. it was just an idea)

I have a couple of suggestions regarding the chat rooms
1. as more people open user created rooms, it seem like there are people who co-host the room, yet with the recent changes regarding mod assignment, if the listed owner leaves, no one has owner rights any longer. Soooo...... couple of ideas to resolve allow the addition of a co-owner when the room is created, or add an option in the room to add one. this person would then have the same rights as the room creator. you may need to assign the number of mods permitted in a room to the room, rather than the owner or co-owner.
2. is it possible to add a color table to the background selection, so people can select a solid color of their choice? the theme ones are very hard to read the text people write, as well as peoples names and their actions. and the white default background is just so bright. a standard color table would sure be nice.
3. can the list with the says to and other verbalizations be alphabetized with just the says to default out of order on the top? it is quite hard to find the verbalization you want quickly the way the current list is sorted.

As people post in the forums more frequently, the number of people with higher posts counts is growing, yet the only badge is for 500 posts. I think we need more badges!!!! there are currently over 40 people with 3000 or more posts, and a significant number of additional users approaching that number. there are 25 people at or over 5000 and 7 over 10000. I think 3000 (forum genius) 5000 (maestro) 10000 (forum elite) badges would be awesome. and of course, saving the best for last 20000 (imperial poster) This last group is a very exclusive club, though the fact that I am in it has nothing whatsoever to do with requesting the badges. we just need more badges is all. (LOL)

Really? Go look at what my stalker has done to my stories and then tell me it's not a good Idea. And how many of my readers opinions are tainted by the time a moderator removes it? If users are so petty and don't know the difference between "This is absolute shit" instead of nasty personal attacks, then there's something wrong with them, too. This asshole has been doing this for months.

Question: Have you actually sent this issue into the site admin?
I can ask one of them right now and find out.
I find it hard to believe that this would have continued 'for months' had they been made aware of it. Users who routinely cause these sorts of issues are dealt with in a swift manner.
Edit: My apologies if this sounded unduly abrupt. I was not made aware that the 'stalker' you were referring to was a repeat offender who had already been dealt with previously.
We do our best to jump on this stuff ASAP as soon as we are notified.

He deactivates as soon as he spreads his slanderous remarks. We all inform the right people as soon as we see him. They have blocked over 50 of his IP addresses but always manages to get new ones. He's from Australia and now has managed to get IP addresses here in the states.
As a Mod, you should be able to remove the remarks on theplayers stories, they have nothing to do with the story or the writing..its malicious and nasty.

I spoke to a site admin about an hour ago who did this. Other than removing the comments, deleting the account and blocking the IP I'm not sure what else you feel can be done to prevent this.
I certainly don't think that allowing users to remove whatever comments they wish to from their stories is the way to go - I'm sure you can see why.
The pleasures of internet trolls I'm afraid; sorry.

As a writer, I want to see what stories are doing well, and which are not performing well. Other than a few comments per story, it is the only feedback that we receive. It would be nice to have all the stats on one page.

OMG why does my friends page (the one you get when you click the blue people) and my home page play all the videos automatically, this is soooooooo very crazy it took me 45 minutes to figure out what the hell was wrong with my youtube play list, and it was those pages all along.
Very very brunette having a blonde moment......please please help me.....I will go insane like take me away insane, not the normal Princess insane i am normally.

Could the follow part on profiles be changed to like the friends list so only the first 12 (or whatever number 20 maybe) people that your following are on the profile and then you can click on a "see more" button.
Just thinking aloud mostly, just some people follow like 200 people and it makes the page very heavy and takes ages to load.
I like this idea. I've thought of it myself, and would love if it happened. Why do we have only top 15 friends but those who follow 200 people we see them all? A bit ass backwards.

There is a time stamp on both has been there for a while, but the problem I have found is that I don't know what TimeZone it is in, so it don't help me much.

I'm not sure if this should go here, but I think it would be cool if there was a forum for anyone to suggest someone who might deserve a recommended read. Then the mod's" can decide if they agree, because I think a lot of work goes unnoticed, ones that deserve attention. I don't mean people going and suggesting their own either, that is a lame attempt at getting one. I mean truly picking someone who they think deserve one.

Here is an idea. When doing an author search, the total number of story views is listed after the author's name. How about a ranking number, telling where the author stands vs. the other authors in total views?
