I do believe this question is too open ended and not truly base to a certain area to this site so this feedback for improvement should be looked at. This would be an improvement to the interaction between story mods and the writers.

I understand the site only wants the best for people to read or stories to be posted on here and yes there are other sites with relax rules for posting. Just that if the site wants the best then the writers should expect the best feedback also. If this is a touchy subject then I am sorry for the ones who thinks so. I will take it as my posting on here as noted and let it go after this. I did not want to start an argument over the subject with others just giving my input for improvement to the site and the people that are on here.

I will remind the story mods not all are bad story mods just there are some in the ranks that are and could cause a person such as my friend to quit this site and to write. This also might explain one reason of a high turn over rate on the site too not sure just a thought on that.

Every story moderator on this site has earned their place on the team. They know what the job entails and they do it well.

If you have a specific issue, take it through the proper channels. This is not the place for it.

A very good one but what this thread is used for is for members to suggest things that Nic & Gav can actually use.

as adults we're responsible for our own actions.

if uncivil people bother you that much block them & they won't be a problem.

At the bottom of the main forum page, there is a list of all members who are currently showing as online. Is this what you mean?

It already does this is in the the member search - providing that the member in question has set their online status to "visible to all". Their avatars show up with a green "online" under their avatar. If they have set it to "visible to friends" or "invisible to everyone" there's no way to show them online - they probably have a reason why they don't want the world to know they are online, and we've got to respect that.

In addition to what clum said - there's actually a page to show who's online at any time http://www.lushstories.com/members-online.aspx

Of course, normal game rules apply, it only shows those who aren't set as invisible.

Invisibility is a wonderful thing but yes it can prove frustrating if your friends enjoy the benefits of invisibility too

Thanks all - learn something new every day - I wasn't at all suggesting that you should be able to see someone who doesn't wish to be seen. I spend a fair amount of time here incognito. I didn't realise that you could already see as you have outlined above.

I don't like the word 'gay'. The word 'gay' suggests something 'non masculine', it suggests some kind of 'weakness'.

Personally, I prefer the word 'non hetro' to denote homosexuality...

That won't work because we also have a Lesbian category, so it needs to be distinctly male, somehow.

You could go with Man-On-Man, or something (not that I actually have a problem with 'Gay Male', but I understand the point that's being raised).

I believe the word 'gay' was originally considered an insult (when refering to homosexuals), but the homosexual community later adopted it, giving it a positive meaning. I don't believe many people are offended by it nowadays, so I don't really see a need to change it.

Improvement I'd like to see: turn categories into tags/labels and allow more of them to be applied to a single story. This would allow more accurate depiction of a story and better filtering of stories. The anything goes tagging that can be added now doesn't have any real benefits when searching as there's no way to combine them with other tags or categories.
