This was getting buried in the assorted stuff that's been posted here, so I was hoping I could direct this your way, by repeating it.

I noticed yesterday that the audio section doesn't have the tabs at the top like the others do. No popular, viewed, or suggested little tabs nor a trending authors list. would it be possible to add these? As a reader I use them to find things to read/listen to and as an author it is incentive to try harder.


You know how men work, more specifically my attention span past the last page of this thread

I have added those tabs for the audio stories now, any good?

Would it be possible/feasible to have not a contributor add on a story, but an 'audio by' thing?

Can I also ask about the Series thing? Do I remember rightly that there was going to be a category or something similar for that?
(I only ask because I finally finished a series hahahah)

we have something like an EP, only it goes to an entire series. it's judged solely on the entire series, not individual chapters, and it's only awarded to finished series. i believe that Ravenstar, DD, and Alphamage have been awarded one so far?

How do you get said badge? Because I know I have a few series. So, wondering how that works.

I look at the activity. Some people will hit like on my comments like 5 times

I will also forget which ones I liked.

It would be great if the system remembered when you hit like. Maybe it would show grey and then you would know you did it already.

I believe it is when all chapters are recommended reads or EP's, that the badge and little red bows are given.

it's like the EPs, only it has to be nominated as a whole series. even if individual chapters don't have awards, a series can win for over all quality.

DD, alphamage, principessa, and Delphi(co written by myself)

however, I noted that when we got the red ribbon, it kicked the little blue thumbs thingee off, and it only shows on the first of the three chapters.

I suggested this 4 days ago .. no response as yet.

Would it be possible to introduce two controls relating to the private chat request? .. one to block them completely and the other to non-friends.

Yes one can decline to open the request but I know from the chat rooms that some members just get bombarded with them which is most irritating (I do get complaints) and they need action to close the boxes down .. no boxes would be a better solution.

Well learnt something here today if indeed the 'Private Messages' when checked under 'General' Settings/Privacy stops everyone other than friends sending private chat requests.

Liz thank you for your post. Just one thing The question "which improvements or features would you like to see added?" is a very open ended question. I ask this, Is the edits done by the Story mods is a service for the site and is an area that can be improve on. If so then I have every right to air it in this forum as an improvement to the site.

Now the question could be written better such as What features would you like to see be added to the site? This would be a better question and not too open ended.

After 5 days your feature is baked and ready for production.


Many thanks Gav .. certainly lots of the chat room members will be very pleased about this as I am sure you can imagine. I however will not be using it since I never get any!!




So for anyone interested in these two new options .. go to 'Settings/Privacy' on your profile and under 'Interactions With You' you will see:

Private Chat's

Block all private chat requests
Allow only my friends to send private chat requests
