I enjoy a lot about Lush. I like the new way that profiles are displayed with the avatars. Another suggestion is to come up with a way to identify which avatars are open for chat and even better chats with males, females or both. I find for me as a male it takes 20 or so "hits" to find someone open. This seems like such an unnecessary effort.

Who is available for a chat?

It's safe to say that if somebody appears online when you are (as in, you can see their profile listed as 'online', both in your friend list and on the main forum page), then they are available to chat, assuming they're in the mood to. If you open chat, and it says they are away, it means that they are on the site, but not available to chat. I'm unsure what else could be done beyond those two indicators.
