Six years ago a black cat arrived on my doorstep. Two days later an orange cat turned up. I believe she was his sister. Of course I brought them in, we rescue cats and dogs all the time. Not for nothing am I known as the crazy cat lady. I think they were quite old when they arrived.

I am sure they were well looked after until their old lady died, at which point they were shown the door. I don't know how they got my address, they must have lived at least five miles away.

The orange one was cranky and annoying as all get-out, but we loved her dearly. She died a few minutes ago of extreme old age, leaving me with twenty-five.

Looks like we're in for a nasty spell of wether.
