What the .....?! Is that the ORIGINAL tree of life?

Awesome pics. Thanks.

WOW! That's awesome! It should be declared a National Monument!
thanks : )
Torture the data long enough and they will confess to anything.
Yes, it is a real tree.
This is a very cool tree ... but it is located in Florida, at Walt Disney World. This should not diminish how very cool it is, nor the carvings. A lot of talented people worked on the tree. The concept of the tree is based on trees found in South Africa and Botswana called a Baobab tree or the upside down tree. They can grow to be huge and they look very much like this recreation in Florida, only without alligators or abnormally large mice wearing tuxedos.

I was actually part of building that theme park, I didn't get to see the Tree of Life as a finished product, but I got to see it being made. It's made out of re-bar, wire and Shotcrete.

And why is Myself thanking the people in the thread?
That is a very cool tree...
Algol

Real tree or man made tree, I still stand by my original statement.
Thanks NobeUddy. Here was me thinking it was carved by some ancient African tribe, and you're telling me it's made from wire and concrete?

Ah shucks, duped again!
Here's a tree in Botswana. It's pretty cool, isn't it? Now notice the person sitting at the base.

It's a cool thing alright... but you get over it pretty quick when you see what they charge for a fucking hamburger...

Lol @ Nudiepants.

I've been to Tokyo disneyland, it was hilarious seeing all the Japanese girls and even women with their mickey mouse ears, they get so into brands and personalities over there, it's a Marketer's heaven.

Not sure how much anything cost, it was all in Yen, and I deliberately didn't try and work it out.

Im sorry for the wrong information, the email said 'limpopo south africa'. Ive seen those trees and though 'ehh, must be true'.

Now that I think about it, Ive been to Limpopo so many times and have never heard about it, should have rang a bell
I was very impressed at first with the tree.. the art is fantastic.. a little disappointed with the truth though.. lol
Wow that is simply amazing! So beautiful too!
