Excellent photograph
I watched the recent total lunar eclipse progress one month ago, from my back deck. During the first 2 hours the skies were remarkably cloud free. I never get a chance to see many eclipses (lunar or solar) because of the cloud cover.
It was pretty damned neat, going outside during the totality and not seeing the full moon, where I had just seen it (and then portions of it) just 30 to 90 minutes earlier. I live in an area where light pollution is not too bad (yet). As the moon began to move out of the Earth's shadow, the clouds started rolling over, blocking my view.
