Once you go closer to it again, you can still kind of see the outlines, then it fades away.
That's just like when you look at a globular cluster in a telescope. You have to use "indirect vision", where you focus on a point to the side of the object, and your more sensitive eyesight on the side picks up the object.
That was either a teddy bear or Zemanova smoking a cigarette.
