Welcome, to the Lush Wine Bar!

Oh my!! He is super hot! I'm so glad you know him! What a great song, and it looks like he's already been spending a bit of time at the Lush Resort Pool. Plus I also appreciate the way he handles his... instrument. I say we sign him on immediately! I'm sure the ladies would love hearing him sing... they'll be swooning, just like I am...

Thank you WellMadeMale for your wonderful contributions of modern art for the new gallery. You forgot to give us the title of those art pieces so that we can engrave it on the plaques in front of each exhibit.

The second exhibit piece looks rather interesting. Do those food groups go together? Oh well, I guess that's what makes modern art so subjective to individual interpretation... Very evocative work. In my opinion... I think it really makes a statement about the vast complexities involved in energizing our society to greater global progress (and prosperity)... Did I get that interpretation right?

OMG...did I inadvertently violate some protocol, by serving horsie devors before the proper time?
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.
I love horsie devors (as long as no equestrian style meat is involved).

The key is to place them delicately on a silver platter so as to maintain the aura of refinement and class...

And it is best served with some fine violin music on the side!

I'm so glad you could join us though, so I've brought you a nice martini to start your evening! What do you think of all the new additions to the Lush Wine Bar & Resort?

DD another great idea! I called him up and instructed him to bring his “instrument” and be ready to wow the ladies.

Since we’re looking to expand our services and may be bring a little more culture into this already lovely place, I know a few more artist that can come visit us. Let me make a few calls…

Peace, Love and Happiness fellow Lushers…

You may be wondering why I look so natural and ‘earth goddess-y” today. Well that’s because it’s yet another very special day at the Lush Performing Arts Theatre.

Today’s show will feature the beauty and talent of some of the world’s finest female songwriters and musicians. Women who inspire other women with their emotive and poetic lyrics set to music, all the while playing their own instruments. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, these are the purebred female musicians.

So today I bring you “Lilith Fair 2010: A celebration of women in music”.

Lilith Fair is a touring concert that exclusively features female singer/songwriters. Fellow Canadian Sarah McLachlan and company named the festival after a woman out of an ancient Hebrew tale. Said to be the original wife of Adam, Lilith fled from Eden after refusing to suboordinate herself to her husband.

Rest assured there will be no dom/sub or BDSM play at this festival! This is all about female epowerment!

So forget your bra at home, put some flowers in your hair, and ‘chill out’ to some of the finest female songwriters the world has to offer. The lyrics go beyond the traditional, and have a certain depth and vulnerability that will probably leave you thinking, “I know just how she felt when she wrote that song”. They speak to the inner core of all women. After all, don’t we all just know how it feels to be growing up in a society where you’re sometimes seen as “just a gurrl”…

Today’s all live performance offerings are posted below. They include:

1. Sarah McLachlan (Possession): Ms McLachlan spearheaded Lilith Fair and this is one of her more famous songs. It was actually written from the perspective of a stalker she had, and is not a “sexy love song” as most people assume it to be based on the chorus.

2. Tori Amos (Winter) – a preacher’s daughter who broke out of her conservative upbringing to become a notable pianist and emotional songwriter, often using her own tragic life experiences for inspiration.

3. Jewel (Break Me) – growing up in relative poverty, she spent the early years of career living out of her car and playing at local cafes and bars, until the music industry discovered that she had the voice of an angel.
How is everyone doing? I hope you've been able to indulge in the spa or pool, or even take in a classic film in our theater. It's still pretty darn cold in my neck of the woods, so I relaxed in the warm infinity pool again to rest my bones. Anton helped me hang some more artwork and I hope you like it. I couldn't resist a nice Pop Art piece by Ed Ruscha.

He also inspired this hood, which hangs near the theater.

Some of the grounds look rather plain, so I've been hard at work acquiring a few sculptures and might end up creating a sculpture garden.

I'm having a heck of a time acquiring a large installation, a la the Minneapolis Spoon, except ours would be plated in gold, of course. I might need some more cash from the casino.

It was a nice swim with some of you lovelies, and it gave me an appetite. Some Braciole seems to be in order, doesn't it?

I see Anton preparing a seat for me now. I'll be back after a nice chat with the stunning TG. Enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Kisses the dolls on the cheek, sweetly...
I think that as patrons of fine art, we should put ourselves at the cutting edge and really embrace digital art, too. Here's a piece I just purchased for our gallery space.

It's called Velvet Pole- what do you guys think?

Very good work, Xuani. You've got the 2D art DOWN!
Hey, just stopped by for a bit and to drop off some wine and strawberries...ENJOY

Wow! Thank you Hollywood!... That looks absolutely delicious. How can I say no to strawberries and champagne? Well, I can't obviously. Both are critical food groups in my diet as far as I am concerned... Bring it on!

And yes, I agree... Xuani truly is the artiste when it comes to transforming the average into something extraordinary. In fact, today, I think I'll just live through an artistic representation of myself as well... It seems to add a bit of mystery and fun!

As well, I found this truly amazing video (posted below) that uses that effect from Michael Jackson's old "Black or White" video while showing the changing faces of women in art spanning the centuries... It's been viewed over 10 million times on U Tube.. and definitely worth a look if you aren't familiar with it. Very cool!
Thank you Remington for your awesome feedback! So happy to know that there are some 'art lovers' out there... LOL

Very much appreciated and be sure to stop by often!

I agree that Jewel is extra special. Have you heard her yodel? I know it might sound strange, but she can definitely put the sex appeal back into Alpine Folk Music... Makes me want to put my hair into swiss braids even as I think about it...

Anyway, in the meantime, I send you an explosively delicious bottle of our finest champagne....

And a sweet kiss from our favourite singer of the day....

Funny, but I know some people (in other forum threads) think that a woman making this face in a photograph looks tacky and gauche, but I think she looks playful and gorgeous.

I'll take some of that champagne, dolls. It was nice for Holly to offer the Perrier brand. Top shelf!

We still have many empty walls and hallways in this fabulous place, even with the sculpture garden, so I'm adding a Bauhaus and some Pop Art. I hope some of you will add a few pieces. If you need some cash to acquire them, give me a ring. I see a Warhol sold today at auction for record-setting millions. I don't have one today, but I will start with a Klee and launch right into the Pop realm. Grab a few appetizers and champagne as you view.

I enjoyed some Grilled Lamb just now with Tech, and she wants me to tell you all hello.

Giada showed our chef how to make it. I hope she didn't notice me staring at something besides her eyes.

I have a few more masterpieces to hang tomorrow. Until then...

Kisses your cheeks, sweetly...

Rest assured there will be no dom/sub or BDSM play at this festival! This is all about female epowerment!

Then I hope you don't mind if one of my favourite Ladies of Jazz comes along!

Rocco, that food looks so appealing! Don't stop bringing it, please!

Is there room at the gallery for any Fine Art Photography?

And the artist-photographer herself, Ruth Bernhard:

GOOD MORNING LUSHIES...

It's a beautiful morning here in Arizona. For a moment you couldn't even feel the hate... For a moment.

I enjoyed the sunrise this morning, I was up way before I should have been. My son has been very anxious all week and hardly sleeps at all - isn't it horrible when they can't tell you what's wrong?

I’ll have Anton, bring us some breakfast, I‘ll take mine outside like always baby… See you guys around!

Xuani, thank you for your fine additions to the gallery. I think in this day and age digital art is a must!

I brought a couple of pieces in myself, hope you enjoy them amiga!
Rocco, such a gentleman. Make sure to let Tech know that we miss her and hope to see her around here soon! I hope you guys had a wonderful time together!

One of our local artist wanted to make something special for you guys… He’s very into Vampires so this is what he came up with - if you see him by the gallery please stop by and say hello!

Holly, thanks for the fine wine - you should stop here more often. We'd love to sit and chat one of these days.

Remington, you also should join us more often. We need more men in here, what can we do to make your visits more enjoyable?

Gypsy, those are beautiful peaces of art, I brought a few in this morning.

I hope you enjoy them and stop by more often to see how much this place has evolved.
DOLL! We were proven wrong [inside joke] we must talk about this before you leave…

Or is it too late already?
Pardon me.. Do you have any grey poupon?
Hello Lushies...

I'm so excited so many people have stopped by the wine bar! What a great crowd! And wonderful new pieces to add to the gallery... I love the photography... let's bring in some more!

In the meantime, I asked Anton to prepare the gourmet lunch that will be going into Mr. Lunchbox! Did I hear a request for fancy mustard? Of course darling... we can accommodate... Here at the Lush Wine Bar & Resort... we spare no expense for the ultimate in total class and luxury! Enjoy!

Oh my, I think Anton might be on a break… Let me serve you LunchBox…

Since I’m in the kitchen now, how’s about I make you a Torta…

You’ll love it, should I put the grey poupon on the side? Anything to drink baby? Let me know. I’m here all day….

I must be running late, I see Doll has already served you… and quite well I might add; hope you’re hungry you’ll have plenty to choose from.
